| Aloha,
I am experiencing a problem. I live in Hawaii, but my server is somewhere on the mainland. We do not observe Daylight Saving Time here. During the wintertime, there is a six-hour difference between local time and Eastern Standard Time, but during the summertime, there is only a five-hour difference. When I tried to use the Synchronize feature of CaptainFTP today, it flagged every page and image as needing to be updated, but most of them were just an hour apart and didn't really need to be changed.
I assume that I am just about the only person who is experiencing this problem, but is there something you can do? Is this a bug? Is there a workaround? I am a very experienced Mac user.
Thanks,
Thad
PS: I sent this to mac_support@xdsnet.de but it bounced! |

| I have similar issues, not exactly the same: check out my query at: http://captainftp.xdsnet.de/cftp/forum.html
I am asking what exactly is the time margin built into Captain.
If you do a mirror with 'ignore time and date' selected, you get an update of brand new files, but revisions may be unreliably uploaded.
It seems a user need s to be able to choose the margin of difference in time, say 24 hours, if scheduling uploads each 24 hours.
By the way, my post to mac_support also bounced today. |

The margin build in Captain FTP is 0 hours. It means the dates are compared exactly. |
