| Hi,
I have noticed a really annoying problem that occurs when new files are uploaded to a server.
I use CaptainFTP at home and at the office.
It occasionally occurs that when files are uploaded at home, that I am unable to see the new added files at work and viceversa.
I also use a cms system with which i am able to upload files. Often when i use this facility CaptainFTP is unable to see the new added files EVEN if i refresh or quit CaptainFTP, EVEN after restart and login afresh?
I have had this problem for numerous versions. I get around it by using another FREE FTP programme that CAN to see the added files (cyberduck), but I shouldn't have to.
I'm now using version 5.0032 - 070906

| For your convience I am posting the solution here:
Turn off the option:
Preferences/FTP/Optimization/Cache folders contents
Turning off the local cache folder and refreshing was enough to allow me to see the files on my server. Underneath is a suggestion made by the support team IF the above doesn't work.
Remove the offline folder:
~/Library/Application Support/Captain FTP/Offline
it contains an offline listing |
