In first time, i think it was a bug at my computer at home, but i have installed and tested private on my work computer and there exist's the same problem with a absolut new instalation. This is very bad, pleas update imidiatly, then in earlyer versions from this program, this future work's great.

I'm not sure you understand the preference options. In preferences on the Browser tag, you can see three options for "invisible" files:1. Show files beginning with a period - list all files which name begins with a period eg. ".Trash" or ".java". It works for remote and local files2. Show aliases - list aliases (links) to files or folders. It works for remote and local files also3. Show hidden files and folders - list files which are normaly invisible to a user eg. system folders. It works only for local files and have no efect for remote ones.

Its sounds funny, that i have the problems with all other testted FTP apps. Only Adobe GoLive 6 show me the invisible files on the FTP server. In this time i have completly reinstall my Mac OS X in Version 10.3 (Panther) and today i downloadet Captain FTP 3.X but the problem has survived and i dont have any idea... why?

Please turn the "LIST -la" option for the server you can't see hidden files on.You can done this by opening Address Book, then select the server press "Edit" button on toolbar. When server details window opens, press "Advanced" button to see all the settings, and finally check the option "LIST -la".

check La List doesn't do it for me - still can't see invisible files. I've updated to the lastest version, using Panther. I'm going to have to buy another app (already bought this one).

Could you write my private address stapoz@xdsnet.pl. I will try to help with your problem. If the Captain FTP really doesn't support this server, we will fix the bug.
