| I try to connect to a FTP site over SSL and get a message:
LIST
425 Can't open data connection.
The site is a linux site, another strange issue is the MACB command,
what's that for?
many thanks for any suggestions

| If the server can't open data connection it is possible your firewall
permits the access to your machine. Try change some options in
the firewall or change connection mode (passive/active) in Captain
FTP.
MACB is for servers which support MacBinary transfer - if a server
replies with an error to the command - the MacBinary is disabled. |
