 | I recall that FTP would conveniently paste the URL of any file/s one has uploaded to the server to ones clipboard ready for pasting into any web forum (like this one).
Does Captain FTP still have this feature? If it does, how does one make Captain FTP do this? I can't find this in my version 5.2 of Captain FTP |

 | You have to define your HTTP URL replacement string in the server details of the Address Book (HTTP access string) (e.g http://219.167.48.19/usr/www/users/src/). Then select a file which URL you want to copy, choose Edit/Copy/HTTP URL. |

 | This needs to be better explained in the Help! It's not intuitive to have to include the full system path in the URL basepath in order to not have that part of the path appear in the URL. This was very confusing at first! Some of the other clients with this capability have you enter these separately. I don't think that's necessarily better, but it allows for a somewhat more intuitive interface. The main point is to make the operation clear to the user one way or another :) Could we have a keyboard shortcut for grabbing the http URL of a file? Please... pretty please... I'll do your laundry for a week... |
